NATCHITOCHES, Louisiana — Obituary – The Natchitoches community is grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Camille Mims, a 10-year-old student at St. Mary’s Catholic School, whose death has left classmates, teachers and families in deep sorrow.
Camille was a fourth-grade pupil known for her gentle spirit, bright smile and kind heart. School officials and educators described her as a thoughtful and compassionate child who consistently showed care for others and enthusiasm for learning. Her presence in the classroom brought warmth and encouragement, and she was widely regarded as a friend who made others feel welcome and valued.
Born and raised in Natchitoches, Camille was an active member of the St. Mary’s parish and school community. She took pride in her studies and participated fully in school life, forming close bonds with peers and faculty alike. Those who knew her said she had a natural ability to uplift others and a joyful energy that left a lasting impression.
