Addie Wisniewski Medina, OH — The Medina community and the wider theatre world are mourning the tragic loss of Addie Wisniewski, a gifted performer, creative spirit, and cherished friend whose life was cut short following a severe accident. Her passing has left family, friends, and the arts community grieving the loss of a bright and inspiring young talent.

Addie was known for her talent on stage and behind the scenes, captivating audiences with her performances and creative vision. A 2019 graduate of Highland High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Theater Performance from the University of Mount Union, where she brought characters to life in productions including Shrek as Gingy and Fiddler on the Roof, and contributed her artistic gifts in many other theatrical endeavors.

Her passion for storytelling extended beyond acting. Addie co-wrote, executive produced, and starred in her film Class Act for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, and served as assistant director on multiple projects. Her creative energy, generosity of spirit, and collaborative nature made her a beloved presence in the Cleveland and Medina theatre communities.

Friends and colleagues remember Addie as someone whose warmth, enthusiasm, and encouragement uplifted others, both on stage and in daily life. Her vibrant personality and commitment to her craft were sources of inspiration, and her loss is being felt deeply by all who knew her.

A Prayer of Adoration in memory of Addie will be held at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Medina on Tuesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m., with the community invited to attend in person or via livestream to honor her life and support her loved ones.

Though her time was tragically brief, Addie Wisniewski’s legacy of creativity, resilience, and compassion will live on through her work and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered not only for her artistic gifts, but for her capacity to inspire, connect, and bring joy to others.
